JOB TITLE: Textile Production Manager
LOCATION: 5073 Bristol Industrial Way, Suite A, Buford, GA 30518
JOB DUTIES:
Plan, direct, and coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for the manufacturing and procurement of materials and products to reate custom licensed apparel, headgear and designs for the collegiate sportswear industry. Duties will include working with sales/marketing teams, design teams, merchandising teams and factory staff to supply our clients with quality apparel and headwear (t-shirts, sportswear, outerwear, headgear, accessories); participating in contract negotiation, policy enforcement and terms of sales with suppliers; ensuring products meet cost, quality, and quantity specifications; serving as the liaison between various overseas factories in China and Korea, which includes coordinating inspections and approving final designs; preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for supplies in accordance with regulatory requirements and license agreements; developing and maintaining production tracking and quality control systems; participating in the licensing process, which includes performing market research, tracking licensed products usable logos, and working with various licensing agencies; understanding current and seasonal trends, logos, and custom design products; overseeing the development of prototypes; and analyzing production operations to ensure smooth production processes and delivery of products in accordance with contractual terms.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent*) in Industrial Design, Textile Design or a related design field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as a Graphic Designer or Creative Director.
*As determined by properly evaluated credentials. Big Boy Headgear, Inc. will accept any other suitable combination of education, experience or training.
Two (2) years of experience researching and developing innovative design concepts within the textile industry, including experience with licensing requirements and regulations in connection with the design and merchandising of collegiate-wear; design tools and technologies (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); design processes and methodologies using a variety of media; production and manufacturing processes as it applies to the apparel industry; graphic and commercial industrial design principles, processes and methodologies, including experience with contract negotiation, licensing agreements, and quality inspections with overseas textile manufacturing factories.
